Walking
If you are starting from the Helena Civic Center, head east on 6th Avenue towards the intersection with N. Last Chance Gulch Street. Continue straight for about three blocks until you reach the intersection with N. Montana Avenue. Turn left onto N. Montana Avenue and walk for about half a mile. You will pass the beautiful St. Helena Cathedral on your right. As you continue, look for the signs indicating the Midtowne Historic District. The district is located just past the intersection with E. 11th Avenue, where you will find the historical landmarks and buildings that define this area.

From the Helena Regional Airport, take the public transit bus service (Route 1) towards downtown Helena. The bus will drop you off at the intersection of N. Last Chance Gulch and E. 6th Avenue. From there, walk east on 6th Avenue for about three blocks to reach N. Montana Avenue. Turn left onto N. Montana Avenue and walk for about half a mile. Keep an eye out for the signs to the Midtowne Historic District as you approach the area past E. 11th Avenue.
