From the Missoula downtown area, walk to the 'Missoula Transfer Center' located at 120 W Cedar St. Take the Mountain Line bus route 1 (Blue Line) towards 'Southgate Mall'. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the 'Fort Missoula' stop. From there, walk south on Captain Rawn Way for about 0.3 miles, and you will reach The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula located at 3400 Capt Rawn Way.

If you prefer to bike, start from downtown Missoula and head south on Higgins Avenue. Continue on Higgins until it merges into South Avenue. Follow South Avenue until you reach Fort Missoula Road. Turn left onto Fort Missoula Road, then right onto Captain Rawn Way. The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula will be on your left at 3400 Capt Rawn Way. The entire route is approximately 3 miles and has bike lanes along most of the way.
