Car

If you are driving from the city of Butte, take I-15 South for about 60 miles. Take exit 108 for Lima, MT. After exiting, turn right onto US-87 S. Follow this road for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with S Valley Rd. Turn left onto S Valley Rd and continue for approximately 3 miles. The entrance to Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge will be on your right at 27650B S Valley Rd, Lima, MT 59739. There is no entrance fee for the refuge.
Car

From Idaho Falls, Idaho, head east on I-15 N. After approximately 90 miles, take exit 108 for Lima, MT. Turn left onto US-87 S and follow the same route as described above. This will lead you directly to the refuge. Ensure your fuel tank is filled as there are limited services along the way.
Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, the nearest major bus service is Greyhound. You can catch a bus to Lima, MT from larger cities like Salt Lake City or Boise. Once in Lima, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service as public transit does not operate directly to the refuge. Always check the latest schedules and availability prior to your trip, as services may be limited.
Carpool or Shuttle
