If you are driving, start from Whitefish, MT. Head south on US-93 S for approximately 60 miles until you reach the junction with I-90 E. Take I-90 E towards Billings and continue for another 80 miles. Exit at MT-78 S toward Columbus/Nye and follow MT-78 S for about 25 miles. Turn left onto MT-308 E, and you will find Custer Gallatin National Forest near Nye. The total drive is around 2 hours and 30 minutes.
