From Whitefish Mountain Resort, start by heading south on Big Mountain Road towards Whitefish. Continue on Big Mountain Road until you reach Highway 93. Turn left onto Highway 93 South and proceed for approximately 12 miles. Once you reach the intersection with Highway 82, take a right turn. Continue on Highway 82 for about 10 miles until you reach the town of Big Arm. Follow the signs to Wild Horse Island State Park, which is located on Flathead Lake. You may need to park at the Big Arm State Park and then take a boat or kayak to reach the island.

Once in Whitefish, transfer to the bus that goes towards Kalispell. From Kalispell, you can take another bus towards Big Arm.
