Start your journey from downtown Whitefish. Head north on Central Avenue towards 2nd Street. Turn right onto 2nd Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Wisconsin Avenue. Turn left onto Wisconsin Avenue. Follow Wisconsin Avenue as it curves to the right and becomes Big Mountain Road. Continue straight on Big Mountain Road for about 5 miles until you reach the Big Mountain Ski Resort area. From there, look for the trailhead signs leading to the Big Mountain Jesus statue. The hike to the statue is approximately 1 mile and may have steep sections, so wear appropriate footwear.
Biking
If you're renting a bike in Whitefish, start from the bike rental shop and head north on Central Avenue. Turn right onto 2nd Street, then left onto Wisconsin Avenue. Continue on Wisconsin Avenue as it transitions into Big Mountain Road. Biking along Big Mountain Road is scenic, and you will enjoy views of the surrounding area. After about 5 miles, you will arrive at the Big Mountain Ski Resort. Look for signs indicating the trailhead to Big Mountain Jesus. The biking path to the statue is a short hike from the resort, approximately 1 mile.
Public Transport
From downtown Whitefish, take the local bus service (check the current schedule for routes) that goes towards Big Mountain. The bus should drop you off at the Big Mountain Ski Resort. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the Big Mountain Jesus statue. The hike from the resort to the statue is about 1 mile, and the trail is well-marked.
