Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the main square in Kotor, known as Trg od Oružja, head towards the northeast exit of the square. Walk along the street called Stari Grad (Old Town) and continue straight until you reach the entrance to the city walls. Once you pass through the old city gates, follow the path uphill to your right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the fortress. At the fork, take the left path which leads you down a narrow alley. Follow this path until you see the Old Kotor Prison on your left, just past the old city walls.

From the Kotor Maritime Museum, exit the museum and turn left onto the main street. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection. Take a right turn onto the road that leads towards the fortress. Follow this road for about 400 meters until you see a sign for the Old Kotor Prison on your left. The prison is located near the base of the fortress.
