Experience Lipa cave

Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Lakes of Plav. Get on the main road (E80) towards Gusinje. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Lipa Cave' and turn off the E80 onto a smaller road. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Lipa Cave. Note that parking is available at the site, and there may be a small fee for parking.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from the Lakes of Plav to Gusinje. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Gusinje, you will need to take a taxi to Lipa Cave, as public transport to the cave itself is limited. The taxi ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes and should cost around 5-10 euros. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

  • Walking

    If you are feeling adventurous and are nearby the cave, you can also walk from the center of Lakes of Plav. This route is about 8 kilometers and will take approximately 2 hours. Head towards the E80 road and follow it until you reach the turn-off for Lipa Cave. Be prepared for uneven terrain and ensure you have suitable footwear. This route is not recommended for those with limited mobility.
