From the center of Tara River Canyon, head southeast on the main road (E762) towards the town of Mojkovac. Drive approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction for the road leading to Tepca. Take the exit onto the local road and continue for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Shelter Stuoc Durmitor. The final stretch to the shelter involves a gravel road; drive carefully as it can be uneven. The shelter is located at coordinates 52QX+6J, Tepca, Montenegro, which you can enter into your GPS.

If you are traveling by public transport, first take a bus from Tara River Canyon to the nearest major town, which is Žabljak. From Žabljak, you can find local transport services, like mini-buses or taxis, that go to Tepca. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Shelter Stuoc Durmitor or nearby, as not all drivers may know the exact location. Expect to pay around 5-10 euros for the taxi ride from Žabljak to Tepca, depending on your negotiation skills.

For the adventurous, if you are already in the vicinity of Tara River Canyon, consider hiking to Shelter Stuoc Durmitor. Starting from the canyon, follow the marked hiking trails leading towards Tepca. The hike is roughly 15 kilometers and can take around 4-5 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry enough water and snacks. The last part of the hike will lead you directly to the shelter.
