Continue past the marina until you reach the bus station. From the bus station, follow the signs for the St. John Fortress (Fort of St. Ivan). The path will lead you uphill through a series of small streets and trails. Keep following the signs; they will guide you to the entrance of the fortress. The walk takes about 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes.

    Take a local bus from Tivat's main bus station that heads towards Kotor. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for St. John Fortress. The bus ride takes around 20 minutes. Once you get off, you will see signs directing you to the fortress. It is a short uphill walk from the bus stop to the entrance of the fortress, which takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Tivat. Start from the waterfront and cycle towards the entrance of the Porto Montenegro complex. Once you arrive at the base of the fortress, you will need to park your bike and walk the remaining path uphill to the entrance.
