Walking
If you are starting from the Fes el-Bali area, head towards the Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate) which is one of the main entrances to the medina. From the Blue Gate, enter the medina and continue straight. You will pass through a bustling market area with shops on both sides. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Place Bou Jeloud. As you walk, you will eventually reach a large open square where you will see the vibrant gardens and fountains of Place Bou Jeloud. This journey should take about 10-15 minutes.
Walking from the Medersa Bou Inania
If you are at the Medersa Bou Inania, exit the medersa and turn left. Walk down the narrow street until you reach a junction. Turn right at the junction and continue walking straight. You will soon see the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud) ahead. Keep walking straight past the gate, and you will find yourself at Place Bou Jeloud in approximately 5-10 minutes.
Walking from the Fes Tannery
Starting from the Fes Tannery, head back towards the main street where you can find signs for the medina. Follow the signs towards Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate). Once you reach the gate, enter the medina and walk straight through the market area. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Place Bou Jeloud, where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Walking from the Royal Palace
From the Royal Palace, head towards the nearest exit and walk towards the main road. Cross the street and you will see the entrance to the medina. Enter through the gate and follow the path straight ahead. After about a 15-minute walk through the lively streets of the medina, you will arrive at Place Bou Jeloud, a popular gathering spot surrounded by beautiful gardens.
