Car
If you are traveling by car, navigate towards Chefchaouen by following the N2 road. From any point in the Rif Mountains, head towards the nearest town that connects to the N2. Once on the N2, follow the signs for Chefchaouen, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will see signs directing you to the Medina. Parking is available on the outskirts of the Medina, so park your car and walk to the entrance of the Medina, located at 5P9R+W2V.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Public buses frequently operate from major towns in the Rif Mountains, such as Tetouan or Tangier, to Chefchaouen. Purchase your ticket at the bus station, which usually costs around 30 to 50 MAD (Moroccan Dirhams), depending on your starting location. The bus journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Chefchaouen, follow the signs to the Medina area. It is a short walk from the bus station to the Medina entrance, located at 5P9R+W2V.
Taxi (Grand Taxi)
You can also take a Grand Taxi from any location in the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Grand Taxis are shared taxis that operate on fixed routes. Look for a Grand Taxi station in your current town. The fare to Chefchaouen is typically around 100-150 MAD per person. The journey will take about 2 hours. Once you reach Chefchaouen, the Grand Taxi will drop you off at a central location, from which the Medina is just a short walk away, at 5P9R+W2V.
