Car
From Chefchaouen, take Route N2 towards the east. After approximately 14 km, turn left onto Route R704. Follow this road for approximately 20 km. You will reach a fork; keep left towards the small village of Akchour. Continue driving for another 10 km until you see signs for Mount Tissouka. The road may become narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Ensure you have a GPS or a map, as cell service may be limited.
Public Transportation
From Chefchaouen, take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Akchour. Buses leave regularly from the central bus station. The fare is approximately 10 MAD per person. After arriving in Akchour, you can either walk (which is about 10 km uphill) or hire a local taxi to take you closer to Mount Tissouka. Taxi fares may vary but expect to pay around 50-70 MAD.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and have reached Akchour, you can hike from there to Mount Tissouka. Follow the well-marked trails. The hike will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and bring enough water and snacks for the journey. The trails may be steep in places, so be prepared for a moderate challenge.
