Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Marrakesh. Head towards the Medina area. Use Avenue Mohammed V to reach Bab Doukkala. From there, follow Rue de la Liberté until you see signs for Rue Sidi el Yamani. Turn right onto Rue Sidi el Yamani, and you will find Fuente de Mouassine on your left. Parking may be limited in the Medina, so consider parking at a nearby parking facility and walking to the destination.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  You can take a local bus to the Medina area. Look for buses heading to Bab Doukkala or Jemaa el-Fnaa. Once you arrive at Bab Doukkala, walk along Rue de la Liberté and turn onto Rue Sidi el Yamani. Fuente de Mouassine will be on your left. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as they may vary throughout the day.

• Taxi

  For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Fuente de Mouassine, located on Rue Sidi el Yamani in the Medina. The fare should be negotiated before starting the trip, typically costing around 20-30 MAD depending on your starting point. Taxis cannot enter the narrow streets of the Medina, so you may need to walk a short distance from where you are dropped off.

• Walking

  If you are already within the Medina, simply walk towards Rue Sidi el Yamani. You can navigate using local landmarks such as Jemaa el-Fnaa or Bab Doukkala as reference points. The area is pedestrian-friendly, and you’ll enjoy exploring the vibrant streets filled with shops and cafes along the way. Fuente de Mouassine is a short walk from major attractions in the Medina.
