Walking
If you are in central Matola, start by heading towards the main road, Avenida da Matola. Walk south until you reach the intersection with Rua da Liberdade. Turn right onto Rua da Liberdade and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will see a local market on your left. Keep walking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida 25 de Setembro. Continue on this road for about 1 km until you reach the entrance to Maputo, where you will see signs directing you to the Museu dos CFM.
Public Transport (Minibus)
From Matola central, find a minibus (chapas) heading towards Maputo. Look for the ones labeled 'Maputo' or 'Baixa.' Board the minibus and pay the fare (ensure you have small change). After approximately 20-30 minutes, inform the driver that you want to get off at the Museu dos CFM stop. The driver will drop you off near the entrance. From there, it’s a short walk to the museum.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Matola. Start on Avenida da Matola heading south. Merge onto Rua da Liberdade and follow the same route as described for walking. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida 25 de Setembro and continue cycling until you see the museum on your right-hand side. Park your bicycle at a designated area near the museum entrance.
