Walking
From Matola's central market (Mercado Municipal de Matola), head west on Avenida da República towards Avenida 25 de Setembro. Continue until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida da Matola and follow it for about 1.5 km until you reach the N2 highway. Turn left onto the N2 highway, and walk for about 500 meters. You will see the Rio Matola on your right side, just after crossing the bridge.
Public Transport (Minibus)
From Matola's main bus terminal, take any minibus (chapas) heading towards Maputo. Request the driver to drop you off at the first stop on N2 highway. Once you're off the minibus, walk approximately 300 meters along the N2 towards the direction of Maputo. Rio Matola will be visible on your left side after crossing the small bridge over the river.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle in Matola, start from the Matola City Park. Cycle east on Avenida da República until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida da Matola and continue for about 1.5 km. When you reach the N2 highway, turn left and ride for about 500 meters. You will find Rio Matola on your right side after crossing the bridge.
