Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the New Bagan area, head east on Anawrahta Road until you reach the intersection with the main road. Turn left onto the main road and continue walking straight for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass several smaller temples along the way. Keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards Ananda Temple. When you reach the T-junction, turn right and walk for another 500 meters. Ananda Temple will be on your left, easily recognizable by its unique architecture.

  • Bicycle

    From Old Bagan, you can rent a bicycle at one of the local shops. Start by heading south on the main road towards the river. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Ananda Road. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers, passing by various temples. You will see Ananda Temple on your right as you approach the entrance. Make sure to lock your bike at the designated area before entering the temple complex.
