If you are starting from Old Bagan, make your way towards the main road, Bagan-Nyaung U Road (also known as Ayeyarwady Road). Head east along this road towards Nyaung U. After about 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Apalyadana Temple on your right. Follow the sign and walk down the path leading to the temple, which should be approximately 500 meters from the main road.

Rent a bicycle from any of the rental shops in Old Bagan. Start cycling towards the main road, Bagan-Nyaung U Road. Once you reach this road, turn right and continue for about 1 kilometer. Look out for the sign for Apalyadana Temple on your right. Turn into the path indicated by the sign and cycle down to the temple, which is about 500 meters away from the road.

From your location in Old Bagan, you can hire a horse cart (also known locally as a 'tuk-tuk'). Ask the driver to take you to Apalyadana Temple. The driver will know the route and will follow the main road, Bagan-Nyaung U Road. The journey should take about 15 minutes, and you can expect to be dropped off right at the temple entrance.
