Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Old Bagan area, head east along the main road (Nyaung-U Road) for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several other smaller temples and pagodas on your way. Keep an eye out for the landmarks such as the Ananda Temple on your left. As you continue walking, look for the signposts indicating the direction to Nyaung-U. Stay on the main road until you reach a junction where you will see a large sign pointing to 'Nyaung-U'. Turn left at this junction and continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the area close to Bagan Myaw Phaya, which will be on your right.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from any of the local shops in Old Bagan. Start your journey by cycling east on the main road towards Nyaung-U. It’s about a 3-kilometer ride. Along the way, you'll pass by several beautiful temples, so feel free to stop and explore. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see a left turn marked for Nyaung-U; take this turn. Continue cycling straight for about 1 kilometer, and you will spot Bagan Myaw Phaya on your right. Make sure to park your bicycle safely near the temple.

Find a horse cart driver in Old Bagan, as they are a common form of transportation. Negotiate a fare and request to go to Bagan Myaw Phaya. The driver will take you along the scenic routes of Bagan. Expect to travel for about 20-30 minutes. The driver should know how to reach the temple, but if you want to guide them, instruct them to head towards Nyaung-U, passing by various temples until you reach Bagan Myaw Phaya, which will be on the right.
