Walking
From the center of Sittwe, walk towards the Sittwe market. Once at the market, you can ask locals for directions to Mrauk-U, which is the destination of the Palace Excavation Site. After reaching the market, take the main road heading north out of Sittwe. It's approximately a 4-5 hour walk, so make sure to start early in the day. Continue on this road until you reach Mrauk-U. Once in Mrauk-U, ask locals for 'H5RV+989' to find the Palace Excavation Site.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Sittwe. Start at the Sittwe market and head north on the main road towards Mrauk-U. The ride should take about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Keep following the road towards Mrauk-U and look for signs or ask locals for directions to 'H5RV+989' once you are in Mrauk-U. The Palace Excavation Site is well-known, and you should be able to find it with local guidance.
Boat
Another option is to take a boat from Sittwe to Mrauk-U. Head to the Sittwe jetty where boats to Mrauk-U are available. It’s advisable to check the boat schedule as they may not run frequently. The boat ride takes about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival in Mrauk-U, disembark and ask locals for 'H5RV+989' to reach the Palace Excavation Site.
