If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Dawei, the capital of Tanintharyi Region. From Dawei, take the Route 8 road south towards Myeik (also spelled Mawlamyine). After approximately 45 kilometers, you will reach the town of Myeik. Once in Myeik, head to the Myeik Jetty, which is the main departure point for boats heading to Macleod Island. Ensure that your vehicle is parked securely at the jetty or at a nearby parking facility.

To reach Myeik from Dawei using public transportation, take a bus from the Dawei bus station to Myeik. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours, costing approximately 5,000 to 10,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat). Upon reaching Myeik, make your way to the Myeik Jetty, where you can find local transport options to the jetty.
