If you are driving, start from the town of Dawei. Head southeast on the National Route 1, following the signs towards Kyauk Shat. After approximately 83 km, you will reach the vicinity of Kyauk Shat. Look for the coordinates H7XM+X8W on your GPS, which will lead you directly to Tanintharyi Nature Reserve. Ensure your vehicle has adequate fuel as there are limited fuel stations along the route.

Public Transportation
To reach Tanintharyi Nature Reserve using public transport, start by taking a bus from Dawei to Kyauk Shat. Buses leave regularly and the journey takes around 2 hours. Once you arrive in Kyauk Shat, you can hire a taxi or a local motorbike taxi to get you to H7XM+X8W, which is the location of the nature reserve. The taxi fare should be around 3,000 to 5,000 MMK depending on negotiation and the distance.

For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Dawei. After renting, head southeast on National Route 1 towards Kyauk Shat. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon reaching Kyauk Shat, use your GPS to navigate to H7XM+X8W. Make sure to wear a helmet and have an international driving permit, as it is often required in Myanmar.
