Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from downtown Yangon. Head southeast on Pyay Road (also known as 8th Mile) and continue straight. After about 5 km, take a left onto Gabaaye Pagoda Road. Continue straight for about 1 km, then turn right onto Kaba Aye Pagoda Road. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Bahan Road, where you will turn left. The General Post Office will be located on your right at Q597+PHC. There is limited parking available near the post office, so be prepared to look for a spot nearby.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach the General Post Office by bus, you can take any bus heading towards downtown Yangon. Look for buses with routes that pass through the central areas such as 30, 34, or 41. You will want to disembark at the Sule Pagoda stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the General Post Office. Head east on Sule Pagoda Road, then turn left onto Bogyoke Aung San Road. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach Q597+PHC.

• Public Transportation - Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

  If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-hailing service such as Grab. Simply input 'General Post Office, Q597+PHC, Yangon' as your destination. The cost will depend on your starting location but expect to pay between 1,000 to 5,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat) depending on the distance. The ride should take approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

• Walking

  If you find yourself within walking distance of the General Post Office, you can easily navigate to it on foot. Look for key landmarks like the Sule Pagoda or the City Hall to orient yourself. From Sule Pagoda, walk east on Sule Pagoda Road, then turn left onto Bogyoke Aung San Road. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you arrive at Q597+PHC. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes.
