Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From downtown Yangon (Sule Pagoda area), walk to the nearest bus stop and catch a bus heading towards Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township. Look for bus numbers 20 or 29, which frequently run along this route. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Kandawgyi Lake. The journey should take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you get off, walk towards Kandawgyi Lake; Karaweik Palace will be visible from the lakeside.
