Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the center of Hlaing, near the ITBM University. Head south on the main road, which is Kabar Aye Pagoda Road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with U Wisara Road. Turn left onto U Wisara Road and walk for approximately 500 meters. You will see Swe Taw Myat Pagoda on your right-hand side. The pagoda is easily recognizable by its golden stupa.

    From your location in Hlaing, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for bus number 60 or 67, which travels towards the city center. Board the bus and pay the fare, which is typically around 200 kyats. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop near the U Wisara Road intersection. From there, walk approximately 500 meters along U Wisara Road, and Swe Taw Myat Pagoda will be on your right. Make sure to have small change ready for the bus fare.
