Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading to Swakopmund. From the main road (B2), take the exit towards Swakopmund and continue straight until you reach the town. Once in Swakopmund, follow the signs towards the coast. Turn onto Strand Street, and the National Marine Aquarium will be located at 1 Strand St, directly on your right as you approach the beach. There is parking available on the street and nearby areas, but be mindful of any parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, you can take a bus or shuttle service from other towns in Erongo to Swakopmund. Once you arrive at the Swakopmund bus terminal, you can either walk or take a taxi to reach the aquarium. To walk, exit the terminal and head south down Sam Nujoma Avenue until you reach Strand Street. Turn left onto Strand Street, and continue walking until you reach the aquarium at 1 Strand St. If you prefer a taxi, you can find taxis waiting at the bus terminal; the fare to the aquarium should be relatively inexpensive, around 20-30 Namibian dollars.

• Taxi

  If you are already in Swakopmund, you can opt for a taxi service to reach the National Marine Aquarium. Taxis are readily available throughout the town. Just hail a taxi or call a local taxi service. Provide the driver with the address: 1 Strand St, Swakopmund. The fare should be around 10-20 Namibian dollars, depending on your pickup location.
