Car
If you are driving from the town of Opuwo, head north on the C40 road for approximately 70 kilometers. Then, turn right onto the C39 road. Continue on the C39 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Pillar of Rock, which will be on your right side. Make sure to keep an eye out for the rock formation as it stands out in the landscape.
Public Transport
From Opuwo, you can take a local taxi or shuttle heading towards Sesfontein. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction of the C39. From there, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along the C39 road to reach Pillar of Rock. It is advisable to arrange transport back, as public transportation may not be readily available at all times.
Walking
