Car
If you are driving from the northern parts of Kaokoland, head south towards the C35 road, which connects to the Etosha National Park. After reaching the C35, turn east and continue until you reach the Anderson Gate entrance to Etosha National Park. After entering the park, follow the main road (the D1442) to reach Okaukuejo, which is located approximately 17 km from the Anderson Gate. Be sure to observe the speed limits and watch for wildlife on the roads.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can catch a bus or shuttle service from major towns in Kaokoland, such as Opuwo or Outjo, that travel to Etosha National Park. Make sure to confirm that the service stops at Okaukuejo. Tickets typically cost around NAD 150-200 (Namibian Dollars). Once you arrive at the park entrance, you may need to arrange for a transfer to Okaukuejo, which can be done through local tour operators or the resort itself.
Transfer Services
For those who prefer a more convenient option, consider booking a private transfer service from your location in Kaokoland directly to Okaukuejo. This can often be arranged through local hotels or tour operators. Prices for private transfers vary, but you can expect to pay around NAD 800-1200 depending on the distance and number of passengers.
