Car
Starting from the center of Lüderitz, head southeast on Diaz Street towards the coast. Follow Diaz Street as it curves to the left onto Hafen Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the B4 road. Turn right onto the B4 which heads towards the Kolmanskop ghost town. After approximately 10 kilometers, watch for signs for Shark Island Camp Site. Turn left onto Kreplin Street. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the Shark Island Camp Site, located at 9582+FMV, Kreplin, Lüderitz.
Public Transportation
From Lüderitz central bus station, take a taxi or local shuttle heading to Kolmanskop. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Shark Island Camp Site. The fare should be around 50 Namibian Dollars. The drive will take roughly 15-20 minutes. After being dropped off, follow Kreplin Street for about 2 kilometers to reach the camp site.
Walking
If you are close to the Lüderitz waterfront, you can walk to Shark Island Camp Site. Start by heading north along the coast on the promenade. Follow the path until you reach the junction with Kreplin Street. Turn left onto Kreplin Street and walk straight for approximately 2 kilometers. The camp site will be on your right. This is a scenic route, taking about 30-40 minutes.
