Car
To reach Duwisib Castle by car, start your journey from the town of Keetmanshoop. Head south on the B1 highway towards the town of Mariental for approximately 100 kilometers. Once you reach Mariental, continue on the B1 for another 50 kilometers until you see the sign for the B4 road leading to the town of Maltahöhe. Turn onto the B4 and follow it for about 60 kilometers. The castle is located just off the B4 road, and you will see signs directing you to Duwisib Castle. There is no entry fee for the castle grounds, but guided tours may incur a small fee, typically around 50 NAD.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from Windhoek to Keetmanshoop. The journey takes around 5-6 hours. From Keetmanshoop, you will need to hire a taxi or use local transport options to get to Duwisib Castle, which is about 100 kilometers away. Be sure to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey.
