Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the capital city, Windhoek. Head north on the B1 highway towards Otjiwarongo. Continue on the B1 for about 200 km until you reach Otjiwarongo. At the Otjiwarongo junction, take the C38 road heading west towards the Etosha National Park. Follow the C38 for about 150 km until you reach the Anderson Gate, which is the entrance to the Etosha National Park. After entering the park, follow the signs for Okaukuejo, which is approximately 17 km from the Anderson Gate. Ensure you have your park entrance fee ready, which costs around N$ 80 per person for Namibian citizens and N$ 300 for foreign visitors.

For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Windhoek to Outjo. Buses depart regularly from the Windhoek bus station. The journey takes about 5-6 hours. From Outjo, you will need to arrange for a taxi or shuttle service to take you to the Etosha National Park entrance (Anderson Gate). This taxi ride will take about an hour and typically costs around N$ 500. Once you enter the park, you can either self-drive or hire a guided tour that includes transportation to Okaukuejo.
