Car
Start your journey in Oshana by heading towards the B1 road. From Oshana, drive north on the B1 highway for about 130 km until you reach the turn-off for the C44 road. Turn left onto the C44 road and continue driving for approximately 60 km. Watch for wildlife and be cautious of the road conditions, as this area may have gravel sections. Eventually, you will approach the entrance of Khaudum National Park. Be prepared to pay an entrance fee at the gate, which is approximately NAD 30 per person.
Public Transportation
Begin at a central location in Oshana, such as the Oshakati Market. Look for a shared taxi (often referred to as 'kombi') heading towards Tsumeb. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for the C44 road. The fare should be around NAD 40. After disembarking, you may need to wait for a while for a taxi or arrange for a lift to cover the remaining distance to Khaudum National Park. Alternatively, consider hiring a local guide or taxi service to take you directly to the park from the junction.
Guided Tour
Consider booking a guided tour from Oshana that includes transportation to Khaudum National Park. Many tour operators offer packages that cover the cost of transport, park entrance fees, and a guided experience in the park. Prices may vary, but expect to pay around NAD 800 to NAD 1500 per person for a day tour, depending on the inclusions and group size.
