Turn left onto the D1918 road, which leads towards the coast. Continue on the D1918 for about 38 kilometers, keeping an eye out for road signs directing you to the Zeila Shipwreck. Once you reach Jakkalsputz, follow the gravel road towards the beach area where the shipwreck is located. The exact coordinates are approximately -22.2409771 latitude and 14.3537007 longitude. Ensure your vehicle is a 4x4, as the last stretch may require off-road capability.
Public Transportation
To reach Zeila Shipwreck via public transportation, first, take a bus or taxi from Spitzkoppe to Usakos. Upon arriving in Usakos, you will need to find a local taxi or shuttle service that can take you to Jakkalsputz. This part of the journey may require some negotiation as public transport may not go directly to the shipwreck. Be prepared to pay around N$200 to N$300 for the taxi fare, depending on your negotiation skills and the distance.
