An epic game drive adventure!

What a perfect game drive! Everything about this tour was brilliant. Our guide, Gerald, arrived on-time and briefed us on the awesome day ahead. Gerald was passionate, capable, professional and experienced despite being a young guy. Great to see responsible young people excelling at their work! The vehicle was also amazing! Very comfortable seats (Don't underestimate how important this after a full day of "African Massage"), clean, warm ponchos for to block the brisk, early morning wind, and great space in the seating areas. As for the animals, obviously, you're at the mercy of mother nature. We felt extremely lucky to see a wide variety of animals; but that's also partly due to Gerald's good work. He made a point to ask other guides that we came across what had been sighted and where and, as a result, we saw so many amazing animals: Painted Dogs, Warthog, Giraffe, Zebra, Baboon, Impala, Kudu, Hippo, Crocodile, so many Elephants, more birdlife than I can recall and even a Lioness on the prowl! This whole day was simply fantastic! That isn't to mention the delicious cooked lunch served while watching elephants play in the mud. Does it get any better? We were all seriously impressed with Gerald and Rukoko Tours. In addition to their great knowledge about the wildlife, they also shared lots of interesting information about plantlife and the habitats in which these beautiful animals live. While I strongly recommend you don't just book one drive... if you're going to just book one... here it is! Enjoy.

Ra-Ikane Luxury Sunset Cruise Victoria Falls

This is the ONLY sunset boat cruise you should do in Victoria Falls

We arrived having taken two flights from Cape Town, just in time for a pre-booked sunset cruise on the Ra-lkane. It was humid and we were hot but our troubles soon disappeared as we untied from the dock and set sail into a cool river breeze. This is an exclusive experience - we had just ten guests - and the value is a no brainer when considering the small increment on the price of the bigger boats packed with people. We had unlimited premium drinks served by our wonderful guide called 'Knowledge" and two tapas plates each. Trevor the captain gave us some fascinating insights into the wildlife we saw along the way. All in all it was the perfect end to a dusty long day of travelling from Cape Town. We hung around at the hotel from where the boat leaves for drinks afterwards, again a beautiful setting, before heading back to our own hotel. (See my other review). If you book the experience before you arrive, you can advise at that time of which is your accommodation - and you will be collected. A perfect evening on the mighty Zambeze river.
