Public Bus
To reach the Heart of Africa from downtown Columbus, start by heading to the nearest bus stop. Look for the COTA bus routes that service the area. You can take the #1 bus towards the West Side. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of West Powell Road and Waggoner Road. From there, walk west along Powell Road for about 10 minutes, and you will see the Heart of Africa on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike-share program in downtown Columbus. Head west on Broad Street until you reach the Olentangy River Greenway Trail. Follow the trail north until you reach the intersection with Powell Road. Turn left onto Powell Road and pedal for about 15-20 minutes until you arrive at the Heart of Africa, which will be on your right.

If you are close to the city center, you can walk to the Heart of Africa. Start at the Columbus Commons park and head west along Main Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Powell Road. Turn left on Powell Road and walk for approximately 30-35 minutes. The Heart of Africa will be on your left side as you approach 4850 W Powell Rd.
