Public Bus
To reach Fonner Park via public transportation, start by locating the nearest bus stop. If you're near the Grand Island City Hall, walk to the bus stop at 100 E 1st St. Board the bus route 1, which is headed towards 'Fonner Park'. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive, get off at the 'Fonner Park' stop, which is directly in front of the entrance. From there, walk about 200 feet to the main entrance of Fonner Park.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike to Fonner Park, start at the Central Park located at 1212 W 3rd St. Head east on W 3rd St until you reach N Pine St, then turn left. Continue biking north until you reach E Stolley Park Rd. Turn right onto E Stolley Park Rd and follow it for about 1 mile. Fonner Park will be on your left at 700 E Stolley Park Rd. There is bike parking available near the entrance.
Walking
If you are walking from the downtown area, start at the Grand Island Public Library located at 211 N Washington St. Head east on W 2nd St until you reach N Pine St, then turn left. Walk north on N Pine St until you reach E Stolley Park Rd, then turn right. Follow E Stolley Park Rd for about 1 mile, and you'll see Fonner Park on your left at 700 E Stolley Park Rd. The walk will take approximately 25-30 minutes.
