If you are driving from central Great Plains, start by getting onto US-26 W. Follow US-26 W for approximately 30 miles. Take the exit toward Bayard and merge onto County Rd 75. Continue on County Rd 75 for about 2 miles. The Chimney Rock Museum will be on your right at 9822 County Rd 75, Bayard, NE 69334. There is no entry fee for the museum, but check for any special exhibitions that may have a cost.
Public Transportation
Currently, public transportation options are limited in rural Nebraska. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to nearby Scottsbluff. From Scottsbluff, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to Bayard, which is approximately 20 miles away. The taxi fare may range from $30 to $50 depending on the service.
