Car
From the center of Great Plains, head northeast on Main St toward E 3rd St. Turn left onto E 3rd St and continue for about 1 mile. Merge onto US-281 N and continue for approximately 25 miles. Take the exit toward NE-91 E. After 5 miles, turn right onto Y Rd. Olson Nature Preserve will be on your right after about 3 miles. There is no entrance fee for the preserve.
Public Transportation and Walking
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Great Plains to Albion, NE. Check local schedules for the bus routes and times. Once you arrive in Albion, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Y Rd. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk, the preserve is about 5 miles from Albion city center. From the bus drop-off, head east on E Main St, then continue straight onto Y Rd until you reach Olson Nature Preserve.
