From downtown Lincoln, head to the nearest bus stop at 10th & O St. Take the StarTran bus route 22, heading towards 'Pioneers Blvd & S 70th St'. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. When you reach the stop at 'S 70th St & Normal Blvd', disembark. Holmes Lake Park is just a short walk from there; head east on Normal Blvd for about 5 minutes until you reach the park entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental services in downtown Lincoln. Start your journey by heading south on 14th St until you reach 'Pioneers Blvd'. Turn east on Pioneers Blvd and continue until you reach 'S 70th St'. Turn south on S 70th St, and after about 1 mile, turn right on Normal Blvd. Holmes Lake Park will be on your left. The total ride is approximately 3 miles.
Walking
If you are near the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, you can take a scenic walk. Head south on 14th St towards 'Pioneers Blvd'. Once at Pioneers Blvd, turn east and follow the road until you reach 'S 70th St'. Turn south on S 70th St, and after about a mile, turn right onto Normal Blvd. Holmes Lake Park will be on your left. This walk will take approximately 1 hour and covers around 2.5 miles.
