Start at the Omaha Public Library located at 215 S 15th St, Omaha, NE 68102. Take the Metro Transit Bus Route 2 (which travels westbound). You will need to board the bus at the stop on 15th St. and Douglas St. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 72nd St. and Military Ave. From there, transfer to Bus Route 13 heading north. Stay on this bus for about 10 minutes, and get off at the stop near Military Ave. Walk approximately 5 minutes north on Military Ave to reach the Oregon Trail Marker, located at Military Ave, Omaha, NE 68134.
Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike-sharing program. Start at the Old Market area, which is a popular tourist spot. Head north on 13th St. until you reach Farnam St. Turn left on Farnam and continue to 72nd St. From there, go north on 72nd St. until you reach Military Ave. Turn left on Military Ave and continue for about 1 mile. The Oregon Trail Marker will be on your right at Military Ave, Omaha, NE 68134.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of the Omaha Community Playhouse at 6915 Cass St, Omaha, NE 68132, you can walk to the Oregon Trail Marker. Start by heading north on Cass St. for about 0.5 miles until you reach Military Ave. Turn left (west) on Military Ave, and continue walking for another 0.7 miles. The Oregon Trail Marker will be on your left just before the intersection with 72nd St.
