If you are starting from downtown Omaha, head to the Omaha Metro bus stop at 16th & Farnam. Take Bus Route 2 (North 30th Street) towards North Omaha. Ride the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes and get off at the North 30th Street & Grant Street stop. From there, walk north on North 30th Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Fort Street. Continue northwest on Fort Street for another 0.3 miles. You will find the Winter Quarters Historical Marker on your right, located at 30th and Fort Street, near the Mormon Trail Center.

Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, start at the Omaha Riverfront and follow the bike path north along the Missouri River. Continue on the path until you reach the intersection of Riverfront Drive and North 13th Street. Turn left to head west on North 13th Street, and then take a right onto Fort Street. Follow Fort Street for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Winter Quarters Historical Marker located at 30th and Fort Street. There are bike racks available for parking at the site.
