Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the main area of Pokhara. Head northwest on Prithvi Highway towards Sarangkot. Follow the signs towards Sarangkot and take the road leading uphill. The drive takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Once you reach the top of Sarangkot, you will find parking areas where you can leave your car. The Sarangkot View Point is just a short walk from the parking lot.

Public Transportation (Local Bus)

From Lakeside Pokhara, you can catch a local bus to Sarangkot. Look for the bus station near the main road and ask for the bus to Sarangkot. The ride will take about 45 minutes to an hour and costs approximately NPR 50-100. The bus will drop you off at the base of Sarangkot. From there, you will need to hike approximately 30 minutes uphill to reach the Sarangkot View Point.

Taxi

For a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from any location in Pokhara to Sarangkot View Point. The taxi ride takes about 30 minutes and will cost around NPR 1000-1500, depending on your negotiation skills. The taxi will take you directly to the viewpoint area, where you can enjoy the stunning views without the need for a hike.

Trekking

If you are already near the Annapurna Circuit and enjoy hiking, you can trek to Sarangkot. Make your way to the nearest trailhead leading to Sarangkot and follow the well-marked paths. The trek can take several hours depending on your starting point but rewards you with beautiful scenery along the way. Ensure you have sufficient water and snacks for the journey.
