  • Walking

    From the center of Bandipur, head towards the main road that leads to the hills. Follow the signposts indicating the way to Ratnanagar. Once you reach the fork in the road, take the left path that descends towards the valley. Continue walking for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the small town of Ratnanagar. Upon arriving in Ratnanagar, follow the signs towards Sauraha. The entrance to Chitwan National Park will be on your right. Look for the main entrance gate, where you can get information on park activities and safaris.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bandipur. Start on the main road leading out of Bandipur, heading towards Ratnanagar. The route is downhill most of the way, making for a pleasant ride. As you cycle, keep an eye out for signposts directing you toward Sauraha. It’s about a 5 kilometer ride, and you should aim to reach Ratnanagar in around 20 to 30 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach Ratnanagar, park your bicycle and walk towards the entrance of Chitwan National Park, which is clearly marked.

  • Local Bus

    Find the local bus station in Bandipur, typically located near the main square. Look for buses heading towards Sauraha or Ratnanagar. The bus ride should take about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Chitwan National Park entrance. Once you arrive in Ratnanagar, follow the signs to Sauraha. The entrance to Chitwan National Park will be a short walk from where the bus drops you off.
