Getting There

• Walking

  From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head north toward the main road. Turn left onto the main road and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the highway. Take a right at the intersection, which will lead you toward Kathmandu. Walk approximately 10 minutes until you reach the bus stop. There, you can catch a local bus heading to Kathmandu Thamel. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Thamel, navigate to Thamel Marg which is a well-known street in the area. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek office is located on this street.

• Local Bus

  From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, walk to the local bus station, located near the main square. Look for buses heading to Kathmandu and specifically those marked for Thamel. Board the bus and pay the fare, which is usually around 20-30 NPR. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Thamel bus station, exit the bus and walk to Thamel Marg, where the Annapurna Base Camp Trek office is situated.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a local taxi from Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Negotiate the fare before getting in; it should range from 800 to 1200 NPR to Thamel, depending on traffic. The drive will take around 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at Thamel Marg near the Annapurna Base Camp Trek office.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more adventurous option, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Bhaktapur. Start from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and follow the main road toward Kathmandu. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Thamel. Once you arrive in Thamel, park your bicycle and walk to Thamel Marg to find the Annapurna Base Camp Trek office.
