Walking
From the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head southeast towards the main road. Exit the square and walk straight onto the main road, which is also known as Bhatbhateni Road. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the Panauti Road. Turn left onto Panauti Road and follow it for approximately 6 kilometers. You will pass through the small village of Sukedhara along the way. As you approach Panauti, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Indreshwor Mahadev Temple. The temple is located on Indreshwor Road, just off Panauti Road. It should be visible as you approach the area.
Cycling
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Start by cycling southeast from the square onto Bhatbhateni Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Panauti Road. Turn left onto Panauti Road and cycle for about 6 kilometers. You will pass through some scenic countryside. Look for signs directing you to Indreshwor Mahadev Temple as you near Panauti. The temple will be located on Indreshwor Road, just off the main Panauti Road.
Local Bus
To take a local bus to Panauti, walk to the nearest bus station from Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The station is located about 500 meters southwest of the square. Look for buses heading towards Panauti; they usually have signs indicating their destination. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Panauti, ask locals for directions to Indreshwor Mahadev Temple, which is located on Indreshwor Road, just a short walk from the bus stop.
