Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head southeast towards the main entrance of the square. As you exit the square, turn right onto Layaku Marg. Continue walking straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see the Taleju Bhawani Temple on your left. The temple is located near the base of the hill, and its impressive architecture will be hard to miss.

    From the Bhaktapur Bus Park, walk towards the east exit of the park. Once you exit, turn left and walk straight down the main road. After about 10-15 minutes, you will reach Bhaktapur Durbar Square. From there, follow the previous directions to reach Taleju Bhawani Temple by heading southeast and turning right onto Layaku Marg.

    If you are at the 55-Window Palace, exit the palace grounds and walk towards the main square. Head southwest towards the main street. Once you reach the street, turn left and walk for about 2 minutes. You will come to Layaku Marg; turn right and continue walking until you see the temple on your left.
