From the center of Durbar Square, where the Kumari Ghar (the home of the Living Goddess) is located, head southeast towards the entrance of Mul Chowk. You will see the entrance gate marked with traditional architecture. The walk should take about 5 minutes. As you approach, look for signs indicating Mul Chowk. The area is pedestrian-friendly, and you will enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the square along the way.

If you are near the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, exit the palace grounds and walk directly towards the southern side of Durbar Square.
