Every aspect of this holiday was perfect, thanks to a fantastic locally based company Swotah in Kathmandu. Although our original itinerary had to be changed, meaning we missed out on the Tibet region due to the devastating floods, the company responded quickly and professionally, arranging an alternative tour that allowed us to explore even more of Nepal. This included an incredible five-day safari in Bardiya and a peaceful escape to Balthali Valley. We also managed to visit Bhutan, which felt like stepping back in time — wonderfully serene, peaceful and fascinating. The professionalism of this company is truly first-class. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and all of our tour guides were knowledgeable, interesting and great fun to spend time with. Throughout the trip, we enjoyed incredible food, met wonderfully welcoming local people and experienced a culture that is deeply rooted in tradition. Annapurna - Poon Hill Trek

Great experience with HappyLand for Poon Hill!

First time trekking and we felt secure and taken care of the entire time with the HappyLand Treks team during our 3day Poon Hill/Gorepani trek. Ahead of the trip, owner Bimal was available to discuss the itinerary options as well as accommodated our preferences and last-minute changes due to flight delays. Our trek was ~2wks after the August 2026 flash flood and Bimal provided realistic on-the-ground updates - the Poon Hill/Gorepani route is not near the disaster area and we had no issues. He even met with us in person in Kathmandu to answer final questions the day before the trek. Guide Dil was experienced with the trail as well as the villages, familiar with accommodation owners and even hand-selecting rooms with great views for us. He helped us keep pace with the larger trek picture in mind and made sure we had snacks/hydration at key points along the way. You can feel good about supporting this locally-owned small business, and feel assured that they know what they’re doing with their routes. We would happily choose this company again. Tip - Pokhara has a ton of great gear shops for cheap, give yourself some time to buy stuff there to support the local economy and instead of lugging overpriced stuff across the world!

We had a wonderful time in Nepal. It was our first visit and a memorable family holiday.Everything was well organized from start to finish. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help, also our driver was ver professional and made us feel safe throughout the journey. We booked a private tor which gave us the flexibility to travel at our own pace and enjoy every places we visited. The accommodation was comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Te cultural and historical sites were amazing. We learned so much about Nepal's rich history, traditions, and local way of life.
