Once you reach Gorak Shep, you will continue towards Imja Tsho by following the signs towards Lobuche. After about 1-2 hours of trekking from Gorak Shep, you will arrive at the junction that leads to Imja Tsho. Follow the trail to the right, which will take you through stunning landscapes and closer to your destination. Expect this last segment to take about another 1-2 hours of trekking.
Hire a local guide
To enhance your experience and ensure you stay on the correct paths, consider hiring a local guide in Everest Base Camp. Guides typically charge around NPR 3000-5000 per day, which includes their service and knowledge of the area. They can help navigate the routes and provide insights into the local culture and geography. Arrange for a guide at the base camp before you set off.
Pack Lunch and Water
As you will be trekking for several hours, ensure you pack enough water and snacks or a packed lunch. You can buy snacks in Gorak Shep, but prices are higher due to the remote location.
