Car/Taxi to Lukla
To reach Namche Bazar, you will first need to travel to Lukla. Depending on your starting point, take a taxi or arrange for a private vehicle to the nearest airport (usually Kathmandu). From Kathmandu, book a flight to Lukla Airport (Tenzing-Hillary Airport), which is the gateway to the Everest Region. The flight duration is about 30-40 minutes, and you should expect costs ranging from $150 to $200 USD, depending on the season and availability.

Trek from Lukla to Namche Bazar
Upon arrival at Lukla, you will need to start your trek to Namche Bazar. The trek is approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and typically takes about 6 to 7 hours. Begin your trek by heading from the airport towards the village of Lukla. Follow the trail that descends towards the Dudh Kosi River. Cross the river via a suspension bridge and continue on the trail along the riverbank. You will pass through several small villages (like Phakding) before beginning an ascent towards Namche Bazar.
